Here at CareNotes, we are blessed with the best staff!
If you call in to place an order or with questions, you may have had the pleasure of talking with our team.
We’d like to take the opportunity to introduce you to each of our employees so you can connect a face with a name the next time you give us a call, and maybe learn a little about what makes us who we are along the way!
Introducing… Vicki Gehlhausen
What do you do at CareNotes? Order entry and customer service for CareNotes and I also assist with Abbey Caskets.
How long have you worked for CareNotes/Saint Meinrad Archabbey? I began with Abbey Press in 1999 and have been part of CareNotes and Abbey Caskets since 2017.
What do you like most about your job? I really enjoy the customer interaction and the product we offer. I look forward to coming in. Our team works well together and we all want the best experience for those we interact with.
What is your favorite CareNote? My favorite is # 23237 “Responding to Life’s Challenges that are Out of Your Control.”
What is your favorite work memory? I have great memories of CareNotes customers and the conversations we have had. My favorite Abbey Casket memory is attending our Longest Night service for those who have lost loved ones.
What’s something that recently made you smile? I love anything that has to do with space exploration. So, watching the latest SpaceX launch and docking to the ISS had me smiling and just amazed at what we can accomplish.
How do you like to spend your time outside of work? Hobbies? I like to visit the grandkids and watch their sporting events. My hobby is quilting. I am afraid my fabric “stash” will outlive me.
What three words would your friends use to describe you? Caring, dependable, dedicated.
Do you have a go-to karaoke song? Nope! No amount of great background music can make this voice sound good.
It’s food day in the office – what’s your favorite dish to make? Angel food cake.
Do you have a favorite Scripture verse or quote? “Everyone you know is fighting a battle you know nothing about…Be Kind.”
Name one thing that makes you unique. I feel my life experience has helped me understand and connect with people. I hope people know I care.
